Destiny PS4 Review
Games / September 26, 2014

Destiny: The Taken King – Legendary Edition (PS4)  I’ve Been playing Destiny PS4 for a bit now and was initially impressed by what I saw. The graphics are stunning, far more impressive than most other online games that I have played recently. There are lots of missions to do, PVP games are abundant too in case you get bored of taking on the AI. The story unfolds as you unlock different missions on different planets within the solar system that you can travel to using a spaceship you find on Earth. This also helps move the story line along which I don’t want to spoil for you. The character you play is customizable and guns, armour and special abilities increase as you level up as you would expect from such a game. However after a couple of days things began to get a bit repetitive. The main missions basically have you following a path shooting bad guys until you come to the level boss. The fighting is your basic Call of Duty run and shoot affair, with lots of cover for you to hide behind until your health recovers. There are plenty of targets which is a good thing, unfortunately…

GTA V Playstation 3 Review
Games / September 1, 2014

Car theft, explosions, violence, prostitutes, strippers and mass murder on a truly epic scale. I am of course talking about GTA V. Unless you’ve been living in a vacuum you are bound to have heard about this. It’s an ultra violent, open world game that makes no attempt to hide from what it is and that’s why millions of fans around the world love it. Grand theft Auto V centers around 3 characters, Michael, Trevor and Franklin and their attempts to survive on the streets of Los Santos. All three share one common trait and that’s a willingness to lie, cheat, steal and kill to get what they want. Franklin is a repo man for a shady car dealership and spends his time taking back cars from those unable to afford the extortionate loan repayments. One such person is Michaels dead beat son but Michael doesn’t let anyone mess with his family so makes Franklin drive through the window of the car dealership so that he can have a “word” with the owner. Michael has been in witness protection, living a “quiet life” with his wife and two kids having betrayed his partners years earlier to get out of his…

DC Universe Online PS4 Review
Freebies , Games / August 28, 2014

First before you read my review of DC Universe Online let me admit that I’m not the biggest fan of reading comics, it’s not that I find them childish or boring, I just never thought of buying them. So I can’t tell you much about any of the characters in the game or about DC comics. I first played DC Universe online over a year ago on the PS3. It took me 12 hours to download which frustrated the hell out of me however I persevered and eventually found myself playing the game. Within a week though there was a new update to download and my PS3 was telling me it would take another 12 hours to download. DC Universe Online was deleted from my hard drive there and then. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago and I was looking at the free to play games for my PS4 and there it was. Knowing that the PS4 can download games in the background while playing others or watching a DVD I thought I would give it another try. This time it took 6 hours to download or so I thought as I got as far as the character selection screen…
