Destiny PS4 Review

Destiny: The Taken King – Legendary Edition (PS4)  I’ve Been playing Destiny PS4 for a bit now and was initially impressed by what I saw. The graphics are stunning, far more impressive than most other online games that I have played recently. There are lots of missions to do, PVP games are abundant too in case you get bored of taking on the AI. The story unfolds as you unlock different missions on different planets within the solar system that you can travel to using a spaceship you find on Earth. This also helps move the story line along which I don’t want to spoil for you. The character you play is customizable and guns, armour and special abilities increase as you level up as you would expect from such a game. However after a couple of days things began to get a bit repetitive. The main missions basically have you following a path shooting bad guys until you come to the level boss. The fighting is your basic Call of Duty run and shoot affair, with lots of cover for you to hide behind until your health recovers. There are plenty of targets which is a good thing, unfortunately…

Minecraft PS4 Edition Review
Games / September 8, 2014

Minecraft (PS4) At first glance Minecraft PS4 Edition is a blocky looking game (pun intended). Its graphics remind me of the spectrum 48K when a block could be your character or a bad guy depending on its colour. I first decided to try this game on Android with the Pocket Edition and I was hooked right away. So when a couple of days ago I found out that Minecraft PS4 Edition was available to download, I was straight onto the PlayStation Store with credit card in hand. The game download was quick and easy. Even with an update file I don’t think it was much more than 300MB in total. Minecraft PS4 Edition is at heart very basic, you must mine, farm or gather resources to eat, fight and build your way to success. The game tutorial will take you through everything you need to do this but as the interface is so well thought out you can go straight into the game if you chose to do so. Minecraft PS4 Edition has two single player modes. Creative mode where you have unlimited resources and can build or do anything you want. Think of this mode as a bit like…

Car theft, explosions, violence, prostitutes, strippers and mass murder on a truly epic scale. I am of course talking about GTA V. Unless you’ve been living in a vacuum you are bound to have heard about this. It’s an ultra violent, open world game that makes no attempt to hide from what it is and that’s why millions of fans around the world love it. Grand theft Auto V centers around 3 characters, Michael, Trevor and Franklin and their attempts to survive on the streets of Los Santos. All three share one common trait and that’s a willingness to lie, cheat, steal and kill to get what they want. Franklin is a repo man for a shady car dealership and spends his time taking back cars from those unable to afford the extortionate loan repayments. One such person is Michaels dead beat son but Michael doesn’t let anyone mess with his family so makes Franklin drive through the window of the car dealership so that he can have a “word” with the owner. Michael has been in witness protection, living a “quiet life” with his wife and two kids having betrayed his partners years earlier to get out of his…
