Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag
Games / May 22, 2014

So having got my PS4 not that long ago I went out and bought Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag to play on it. I’ve played a couple of the previous titles in the franchise and had heard that this one was a must have. The first thing I noticed is that the main character Edward Kenway, isn’t an Assassin, he’s not a Templar either. Instead Edward is a young, self centred, money hungry wannabe. He’s willing to leave England and the woman he “loves” to go pillage and plunder in the King’s name as a Privateer, which is just another name for a state sponsored pirate. Edward soon finds himself shipwrecked with an Assassin whom he kills and assumes the identity of as Edward believes doing so will make him a very rich man indeed. I found that Edward already seems to be able to free run and fight as easily as if he had been doing it for years, it’s implied as being something he learned due to genetic memory but is a big plot hole if you ask me but I suppose it’s a way of skipping yet more training missions Edward gets himself a boat… I mean…

Food / May 17, 2014

Today I had a meal at the Leapark Hotel Grangemouth. I’ve not stayed in the actual hotel as I live only a 10 minute walk away but I’ve had a meal at the Leapark Hotel Grangemouth before and it was fantastic. Big, full plates of well cooked food that I could barely finish, just the way I like my food. So it was with great delight I found myself with the opportunity to go back with my fiancée and her friend. The restaurant has a Table d’hôte menu of 3 courses for £11.50 and a decent selection of courses. For starters I ordered the egg mayonnaise, it was basically sliced boiled egg on salad with a streak of mayonnaise across it. in all honestly it was not the best I’ve had I wanted to try something different and sometimes you just don’t like new things (I’m fussy lol). The main course was Roast Scotch Beef Balmoral smothered in an onion, mushroom and whiskey sauce. For my taste there was a lot more sauce than needed, it overpowered the beef rather than complimenting it but the course was well cooked and presented, with broccoli and cheese sauce. I chose a slice of double chocolate gateau for desert, I’d had it before and loved…
